EHP Science Education Program

Lesson Plan The EHP Science Education Program promotes environmental health science as an integrative context for learning to promote students' use and understanding of scientific literature. The objective of the EHP Science Education Program is to inspire high school and undergraduate students to pursue careers in environmental health science. We do this by using current, credible environmental health information to teach students about the interconnection between their health and the world around them.

Choose from over 100 science and interdisciplinary lessons based on selected articles published by EHP, the top monthly journal in public, environmental, and occupational health. Lessons align with National Science Education Standards in biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, and physical science, and are targeted at students in grades 9 through 12, although many lessons are also appropriate for undergraduates. All lessons and corresponding news articles can be downloaded here free of charge.

The EHP Science Education Program will begin publishing new lessons in 2010.
